AcneFree is a topical acne counter which is almost identical to proactive. The difference between AcneFree and proactive however, is that you can buy at your local Target or Walmart AcneFree, and its a little cheaper. Everything else is the same though – to the exact portions of ingredients assets. (Actually, I'm not surprised a bit, if I learned that the name "AcneFree" was owned by proactive).
Overall, the system is great if you are looking for a topical solution for acne. The active ingredient is benzoyl peroxide, depending on whether you purchase the regular or "severe" the release, have either 2% or 10%. I've heard more than 2% benzoyl is not much, besides dry skin, and that 2% should be suitable for any skin condition, but I've always used the grave "version just to be safe.
AcneFree is a 3-phase topical treatment:
- The antibacterial cleaning Wash This cleanser is medicated with 2.5% benzoyl peroxide to kill acne bacteria and removes dead cells of the skin.
- Corrective Toner. The passage of toner is very important. Use a cotton ball to apply the toner to the entire face, scrubbing until you have removed all traces of dirt and oil. It always amazes me how no matter how effective that I can wash my face during step 1, the toner always brings the dirt repulsive.
- Repair Lotion. This is the cream that is applied to the skin twice a day, then works all day to cleanse and heal all acne existing.
I used AcneFree system many times in my life, especially as its one hundred times better than any other face wash can be purchased shop, and affordable for when I have the money to buy more expensive products that normally use and trust.
The biggest problem with it is its only a temporary fix, and usually at 2-3 months of use, your skin will begin to adapt to drought created by benzoyl peroxide and adjusting production sebum levels even higher to compensate, creating more (and sometimes worse) break-outs. This is because AcneFree not treat the cause of your acne, only deals the symptoms on the surface of the skin. However, there are more things in your body behind the scenes that is causing your acne, and it is important to get to the bottom the matter and resolve the problem where it starts.

I think you can get writtne consent form your parents. It can cost anywhere from $200-$500 per treatment here in the US
I had it done and went 7 times and nothing changed. I spent a small fortune It was not fun at all.
I also tried Proavtive, Neutrogena, lots of department store brands (clinique, chanel) and non of them worked.
I now use a skin regime that is outstanding and haven’t had a pimple since. Its an anti-aging system by Mary Kay. I have very sensitive skin so this system works best for me because it doesnt try to throw harsh chemicals at the pimples. It just cleanses my skin to a health glow.

Hormonal Acne Birth Control
Birth Control – More balanced moods, less acne?
I’ve recently been having mood swings and my acne amount has gone up. My mum seems to think this is due to a hormonal imbalance.
Also, I have absolutely terrible cramps and nausea during my period. During such days I simply can’t stand up long enough to get anything done.
So my question is, has anyone experienced those problems and had them resolved upon taking birth control?
It is true that some birth controls can help with this, but everyones body will handle it differently. While sometimes it helps sometimes it can make the mood swings worse, also when you stop taking it you may bleed for two weeks or not have a period for a month or two. There are many kinds of birth control you should ask you obgyn about the many different kinds and what might be best for you. Chances are they will give you a month or two of a sample to see how it works for you.
I have been on a birth control before that helped regulate my period. It was also much lighter. It was ortho tri cyclen low (not real sure on the spelling) However I am prone to depression and it seemed to make it worse. The depo shot made me so very irritable and also made me spot randomly sometimes.
But remember everyone’s body will handle them differently and if your not prone to depressive thoughts that might not happen to you. Your obgyn could tell you best.
